We want our property-management software to create, update and end guest access from the reservation, then include the usable credential in our arrival instructions. Please confirm whether our setup has an existing integration or whether your team could build one with Seam.
Our setup
| Requirement | Details to supply |
|---|---|
| Software | PMS name and plan |
| Hardware | Exact lock model, network module, keypad and app |
| Location | Country, property names or internal references, and time zone |
| Door mapping | Guest unit, shared entrance and any staff-only doors |
| Access rules | Check-in/out, early arrival, extensions and cancellation |
| Guest communication | Where the confirmed credential should appear |
| Recovery | Who handles a failed setup, offline lock or guest unable to enter |
Do not include passwords, API keys or guest access codes.
Questions for the software team
- Is this exact model, app and region supported by our current integration and plan?
- If a new integration is needed, can your team connect reservation changes to Seam's Access Grants and map devices to the right properties?
- How will you confirm access is ready before sending it, handle changes and cancellations, and surface failures to our team?
- What setup, account permissions and testing do you need from us? Who will maintain the integration and handle support?
Seam provides device access through an API. The software provider or a retained developer implements the reservation and messaging workflow. Compatibility must be checked for the actual device and account; this brief does not establish a native connector for any particular PMS.
