What do I need to get started?

An existing project, an interactive terminal, and a Seam account. For the npm command, use Node.js 22.12 or later and npm 10 or later. Wizard can take you to the browser to connect your account during setup.

Which languages does Wizard support?

Wizard detects JavaScript and TypeScript, Python, Ruby, and PHP projects and their supported package managers. Your integration follows the structure of your existing project.

Does it work with my coding assistant?

Wizard installs Seam’s integration skills and helps configure Seam MCP for your coding assistant. Some assistants need a manual configuration or authorization step. The guide explains what to do when prompted.

What changes in my project?

Wizard installs the SDK and agent tools, saves your Seam key in .env, and keeps the integration plan in local CLI state. If you choose to generate the integration, it writes code into your project for you to review as a diff. You can also finish after setup.

Do I need my own AI API key?

No separate AI-provider API key is required. AI processing is routed through Seam. Your Seam credential is stored locally for your application; local credential storage does not mean that AI processing happens entirely on your machine.

Is the demo connected to a real lock?

The terminal preview is a simulated Wizard run with condensed setup and timing. It does not connect to devices or change a real project. Run Wizard from your project to build your own integration.
