Users can unlock the Latch M in multiple ways, including through the Latch App on iOS and Android, an Apple Watch, doorcodes, or NFC keycards. Its Inductive Jumpstart™ technology ensures reliable access even if batteries run out, utilizing Qi-compatible power sources. Powered by 6 AA non-rechargeable alkaline batteries with active monitoring, the Latch M is built to endure harsh conditions with an IP55 weather resistance rating for exterior and interior assemblies, and an IP65 rating for the lens. Mechanical specifications include compatibility with doors 1-3/4" thick, a 2-3/4" backset, and a 1" deadbolt throw, with a range of faceplate and strike plate options. The lock is certified to meet several standards, including UL 10B/C and ANSI/BHMA 156.13 Grade 1, and complies with the ADA.
