Your user links their Genie account through Seam Connect Webview: one embedded login flow, no Genie-specific code. Every device behind the account comes back with capability flags your app can read before offering an action.

Do I need a Genie developer account or API keys?

No. Your user signs in with their own Genie account through the Connect Webview, and your app talks only to Seam. You never handle Genie credentials or maintain their API.

How do I test without hardware?

Sandbox workspaces come with virtual Genie devices that behave like the real ones, so you can run the whole flow before anything is installed.
